Hip, Hip, Rosé (Summer Sangria & More!)

Image: simplywhisked.com

P’Niche sure does love a glass of rosé. We also love sharing!

Nothing says summertime "à la vie Parisienne" like a delicious, refreshing glass of chilled rosé (preferably en terrace at a charming café or along the cobbled banks of the Seine).

This delicious recipe for a rosé infused sangria, has to be shared. And for our non-drinkers, I see you and, you are always welcome to party sans alcohol with P’Niche and panache. A mock-tail alternative and more will be also included in this post for your pleasure.

Pink Hydration Water

Sometimes, you just really want to beat the heat. And while a simple pitcher of water will do, why not pink it up a bit for some vie en rosé (water?)

Ingredients

· Distilled Water

· A few drops of grenadine syrup

· Floral ice cubes (instructions below)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher or jug, add all ingredients (except the ice) and stir

  2. Chill in refrigerator

  3. Serve chilled over floral ice cubes

Floral Ice Cubes

Any edible flowers work well for floral ice cubes, and you might already have some right in your backyard. My favorites are roses - I mean this IS a rosé post after all!

Ingredients / Materials

· Ice tray

· Water

· Edible flowers (here are some ideas)

Instructions

  1. BOIL the water! (This makes for clear ice cubes). Let water cool before using

  2. Add petals to ice tray

  3. Cover petals with water and freeze

We'll be discussing more about picnics and the history of rosé wines soon, but for now, it's time to kick back and welcome in the sweet summertime (enfin, finally!). Are you in a frenzy of party and picnic planning? Fear not, you can have rosé delivered right to your door. In a non sponsored note, you can find lots of rosé options here.

As with any recipe, please make sure to follow your own dietary needs and restrictions to make eliminations or substitutions when needed.

What are you toasting with this upcoming holiday weekend? Let us know in the comments section below. Summer is here, at last! Cheers, P’Nichers et à bientôt!
